By the way, someone is claiming the guy with the neon did that on purpose. I understand him wanting to video tape a burnout, but how would he know it was going to explode like that? I'm thinking, if it is true, he swapped in another motor and wanted to video himself burning out till the motor gave. I had a professor who worked for GM that would point out that while obliterating the clutch in a neon causes catastrophic failure, the same action in a corvette produced a lot of heat, smoke, and more the likely some primordial goo for a mechanic to clean out when the clutch simply gets replaced from abuse.
